Team 23's New Team Leader ((Team 23 only))

There he had been, just getting out of his shower and slowly slipping his pants on before he finally decided to read about who his three genin were. And perhaps why he was supposed to take over their team. Tenzo dried off his hair and placed the towel across his shoulders as he reached down and picked up the folder containing the information. "Hmm. Well that's good, at least I didn't get stuck with fresh genin." The ANBU member said while walking to his closet folder in hand and grabbing his usual long sleeved black undershirt. As he pulled it over his head and onto his chest he realized a certain clan name that stood out. Hyuuga. "I get to train a Hyuuga member, perhaps this won't be as dreadful as I thought it to be." He continued talking aloud to himself while finishing zipping up his vest and adjusting his headgear.

"Ugh. Why the hell am I awake right now anyways?" The highly respected ANBU captain asked himself once he saw the clock. 7 am. No one should have to get up this early. He thought to himself ending it with a sigh. I suppose I should go and meet this team. Introduce myself or something. Yamato thought while heading towards the door of his house. "I'll swing by the other two's house before heading to the compound." The ever speaking man said to himself while locking his door, stretching his legs out a bit, then heading off towards the direction of each of the genin's households.

A message carved into a piece of solid wood would lay on each of the genin's bed, whether they were asleep or awake. Tenzo was more than skilled enough to place it there without waking up anyone, I mean after all, not just anyone can be admitted into the ANBU. He created the wood carving using his Mokuton technique, sure it was unnecessary, but he had always enjoyed trying new things with that technique. On the sheet of wood it read.

"Dear ((Insert Name Here)),

I am Tenzo and I will be replacing your current jounin for a little while. Your jounin has been needed for a very special assignment that had to be taken care of immediately. Since I'll be taking over, the team number will now be Team 23, just to let you know. Meet me at the foot of the Hokage Monument by noon today. Don't be late like the ignorant and arrogant rookie genin tend to be. I'm in no mood to deal with anyone's crap.

It wasn't the shortest of messages, but Tenzo has never been one to say things in small parts. Good thing for him, he could write in text that was quite small but still legible. There he had completed his task, now he waited and wait he did. To kill the time he stopped by the Bakushu bar to get a good taste of some cold sake, but ended up receiving warm sake. After causing a scene there and almost frightening most of the few customers that were there that early off, he finally arrived at the hokage monument. "Bastards, I told them cold sake.." He continued on complaining about what transpired mere minutes before. With a brief sigh he stopped and started creating the necessary hand seals in order to perform Mokuton one last time, creating himself a nice bench to lay on as he waited for his genin to arrive. So there he lay, in wait while staring up towards the clouds.

The sun rose with Yakkai making her one of the early birds of the village. Going through the morning routine in a mundane way; eat, take shower, brush teeth, get dressed, etc, she was ready for another day of solo training. Only one thing stopped this plan from going through. Walking once again into her room to make the bed her eyes were glued to a piece of wood. Strange...she didn't hear anyone come in. For a moment, the prescense of it made her stiffen and the hair on her back rise until she calmed herself when she glimpsed what it said in the message.

“Huh,” Rubbing her chin inquisitively, reading the message over once more before picking it up to read it a third time Yakkai mused to herself over the words. ’Always hate’? This guy either got a sense of humor or is an ass. Giving a small laugh to herself, her mind jumbled through the words over and over again to remember her team number, remember her new jounins name and her first impression of her new sensei.

Pulling out a drawer on the night stand, slipping the wood letter away for safe keeping Yakkai turned to her dresser with an excited air all about her before tying the knot of her headband around her shoulder. With that, she made her way out the door, hugging her horse goodbye before setting out on the streets that lead to the Hokage Monument.

After walking for some time she arrived well before noon. Why, if she were to guess it’d probably be around 9:00 in the morn’. Not a big deal, but Yakkai wasn’t going to be distracted now that this day was confirmed to be one that would be interesting to say the least, in fact it sparked her curiosity as to her new teammates (and jounin) were. It would be a hell of a time if the fellow genin were as dumb as her last team members. Goodness knows that if she failed the Exams again this year she would punch somebodies face in.

Raising a brow when a lounging man came into view under the cool early morning sun, she bowed politely before Tenzo before speaking. “Yakkai Yuwaku repotin’ here at your request, sir!”
